A SONG OF SHADOWS

A Song of Shadows by John ConnollyMy rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reading a Charlie Parker story is like putting a puzzle together. There are all this things happening at the start that don’t relate to each other, but that will make sense latter on as the plot thickens.

As with all of John Connolly’s books, this is a very complexed story, mixed with history and fantasy, this time focusing on Nazi War Criminals sheltered as refugees.

Evil of the worst kind is hiding in plain sight in a little town called Boreas where the Detective Charlie Parker is bound to recover from his injuries, taken part in the previous book, a body has appeared in the beach, a family has been murdered and a teenager is missing. The truth about Charlie Parker is about to unravel in the most un-expected way.

Charlie Parker is one of those characters that you suffer its suffering, and dread fills you any time he is in danger.
