The Allison McNeil series can be placed along with Alex Cross and Lincoln Rhymes as one of the most suspenseful and thoughtful crime thrillers. Love the character and the sequence of events, there where times I was so engrossed in the tale that I forgot to breath. That is what makes a suspense story a masterpiece.

Politics in DC is a dangerous game to play. Corruption, filthy appetites, extortion, blackmail, murder are the toys that this path leaves behind for the people who dare run for the greatest prize: The President of the United States. The main goal is power and leverage; with that you can do anything.

The murder of a call girl in a gruesome form, and the discovery of two cameras in her room, one of which sends the feed to an encrypted unknown location. This sets in motion some of the people involved to cover up the footage and murder.

Allison McNeil, is put on the case and her main concern is catch the killer. She is one of the most promising agents and profiler of the FBIand her involvement could really bring justice.
