Praise Leslie Nagel!
This first installment is definitely engaging and a really page turner. The plot hooks you from the very beginning. The characters are very likable, and it has a strong female lead character.
In a small town where nothing really out of the ordinary happens, a murder staged to be gruesome in details ignites the gossip vine of high society housewives.
Our main character, Charlie, is found in the middle of the investigation with her high-school crush and nemesis, Detective Trenault. Everyone at her book club is a suspect, and everyone seems suspicious at one point.
The plot twists will keep you glued till the very end.
Glad that this is the first of a series. Would love to see more of the characters and this author.
