Praise Aleatha Romig!
Engaging and emotional, this book explores the life inside a cult and the horrid acceptance of the followers to any teaching, notions and orders of a person that they think is beyond everything and anything.
The characters are complex and even irrational at some point, but you get to feel the horrors that women suffer, and how confusing the world is to someone that has been mentally brainwashed or condition to accept whatever is demanded of them.
Knowing that at some point in history things like this took place, and even now they could be happening to someone, like domestic violence, it is kind of scary and heartbreaking.
This is definitely a page turner and would love to see more from this author.
