Cries in the Night: a Lowcountry Ghost Story

Cries in the Night: a Lowcountry Ghost Story by Lori Roberts

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A steady paced, heartfelt and full of suspense story of a couple who found their dream house while moving to a new State. What they didn’t expect was that someone else was living there too.

A haunting in historical Charleston, a murder dating 200 hundred years with a twist that keeps the spirits of those involved trapped in the house, some by choice. The new owners can’t settle down while apparitions, cries and loud sounds keep them awake at night. Carly is staying at home while she finds a job, since her husband, Andrew, is a neurosurgeon with a very demanding schedule leaving Carly mostly alone in the big scary house. But she is strong headed and is not giving up. She will try to solve the mystery and reclaim her house. For her, the option of selling is out of the question.
