The Silence of the Chihuahuas (A Barking Detective Mystery)

The Silence of the Chihuahuas by Waverly Curtis

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a hilarious story of a dog detective Pepe, El Jefe, and his beloved owner Geri. Pepe is scared that Geri is considered crazy since she can hear him talk. So Pepe, a mastermind, decides to stop talking. Now Geri is seeing a shrink because her dog won’t talk to her. Which kind of makes her look crazier.

Three events are happening that need the attention of Geri:

1-Her best friend Brad is missing and there is a murder involved.
2-Her sister just called her from the loony bin and told her someone is trying to kill her.
3-And her ex-husband is getting married to the woman he left her for, and her other sister is pushing her to go so there is no hard feelings.

So as you see, it’s a complicated plot full of surprises and fun situations that will make you laugh out loud.

Will Pepe quit his silent treatment and help Geri? He is El Jefe in Sullivan and Sullivan and he cannot let her human companion down.

Really enjoy this tale and definitely will read more from this series.
