Grumpy Old Wizards

Grumpy Old Wizards by John O'RileyMy rating: 4 of 5 stars

An exciting read full of action and suspense.

In this fictional world where a great part of humanity has gained different levels of power due to a disaster in a magical vortex. Wizards are very common but only a few are category 5 or 6, which means the power is immense and can cast spells and control the elements that may cause another disaster, so they are controlled by police and enforcers to prevent them to use the power to their full extend.

Josephine is an octogenarian level 6 wizard, that looks like she is 30 something, and this can bring a lot of trouble since she decides to live in a retirement community with her much older looking friends.
When a serial killer strikes, the police needs her help to read the crime scene and help them in the case, even though she is retired and want to leave at piece baking cookies and brownies for her grandson.
The involvement in the serial killer case may put her in the black wizard list of future victims, and as the plot thickens, we’ll see unexpected twist that will leave you begging for more.
Glad this is just the first installment of the series and that there are more to complete.
